Buitrago del Lozoya's Medieval Fair

A different idea which will transport you back to a time of kings, knights and princesses.

For three days at the start of September, the town of Buitrago del Lozoya travels back to the Middle Ages when it organises a mediaeval fair inside its walled enclosure, and recreates the customs and traditions of the period. A mediaeval crafts market is set up in the streets, and there are numerous shows and activities, including jousting tournaments, juggling, concerts, street performers, plays and workshops. What's more, all the local inhabitants join in and dress up in mediaeval costume.
